Watch Ralle & Bolle on a 3D screen
You’ve probably seen this in movie theaters - the most famous example being Avatar. Some movies can be viewed in „3D“ using special technology. This involves displaying a separate image for each eye, giving the film a sense of spatial, tangible depth.

This is also possible with YouTube and a 3D TV or VR headset. If you have one of these devices, you can watch “Ralle & Bolle – The New Washing Machine” in this special format. It uses the “side-by-side” format, which works best for YouTube. So don’t be surprised: without further settings, you’ll see the film twice side by side. You’ll need to tell your TV how to play the 3D effect correctly. Here’s how to do it:
3D TV
- first, turn on your 3D TV
- open the YouTube app and search for „Ralle & Bolle Side by Side 3D“
- then play the video you found in full-screen mode
- now press the 3D button on your remote control, if it has one, OR open the TV's 3D menu
- there, select “Side-by-Side”
- now the image will be correctly overlaid
VR-Headset
- launch the YouTube VR app or a web browser on the headset
- search for „Ralle & Bolle Side by Side 3D“
- the app usually detects the format automatically and adjusts it for the lenses
